Micron-level CNC work, verified on optical comparator under our production network's documented ISO 9001:2015 program.
Tight tolerance machining is what every shop claims and few can prove. On work routed through Quick Brown Fox Solutions, routine tolerances on CNC milling and turning ship at plus/minus .0002 inch — the same class on every job, not a stretch goal. On the network's high-precision lathe, repeatability on critical turned features tightens to plus/minus .0001 inch. Engineers send us features in the tenths because we match the machine, the workholding, the cutter selection, and the inspection method to a tolerance class the network's ISO 9001:2015 quality system actually verifies.
Tight tolerance is a system, not a single machine. The network controls thermal drift on long cycles, fixtures every workpiece to repeat clamping force, and lays out the inspection plan during programming so critical dimensions are gauged at the right point in the cycle — not at the end where the lot has already drifted. QBF's UEI MA3DSJEPMFQ8 and CAGE 201W8 are on file.
First-article and in-process inspection is performed on a mid-size benchtop optical comparator with calibrated hand gauging at the machine. Optical comparator measurement is the right tool for verifying profile, true position on small features, hole and edge geometry, and angular features against the print at magnification, and it does so without contact-induced deflection that can corrupt readings on delicate parts. Calibrated micrometers, bore gauges, pin gauges, and indicators carry the rest of the inspection plan, with each tool traceable under the network's ISO 9001:2015 quality program.
Inspection records are written before the first chip is cut, not after. During programming, the dimensions to be gauged, the frequency, and the tool are listed so the operator and inspector both work from the same plan. That discipline is how the network keeps tight tolerance from drifting between part one and part one hundred.
Routine tolerances are plus/minus .0002 inch, with plus/minus .0001 inch repeatability on the high-precision lathe. Tighter feature classes are quoted on a per-print basis after drawing review. Every tight tolerance job ships against a documented inspection record under the network's ISO 9001:2015 program, with traceable measurement equipment and archived first-article data.
