The drawing-package checklist

A complete RFQ gets a tight quote back, fast. Bundle these items into a single email to support@quickbrownfox.co:

Drawing. Dimensioned 2D drawing in PDF, current revision, with title-block tolerances, feature-level tolerances, GD&T where applicable, finish callouts, and any notes. Model. 3D model in STEP (.stp/.step) format. Native CAD also accepted. Material. Alloy and condition — "6061-T6 plate," "17-4 PH H1025 bar," "316L stainless." Indicate if equivalents are acceptable. Quantity. This-order quantity plus EAU if known. Quote breaks (e.g., 1, 5, 25, 100) help. Lead-time target. First-article and balance-of-lot dates if separable. Applicable specs. MIL-PRF, AMS, ASTM, ASME, or industry specs the part is built to. Inspection level. FAI, source inspection, certificate of conformance, material certs — whatever the contract requires. Special requirements. Marking (laser, ink, dot peen), packaging, shipping address. For the deep version of this checklist, see our guide on how to request a CNC quote.

What You Receive

What a Quick Brown Fox quote contains

Quotes from QBF Solutions are written to be acted on, not interpreted. Every quote includes: unit price at each requested quantity break and at adjacent breaks where useful; non-recurring engineering and any fixturing or tooling cost shown separately; lead time from PO receipt; the tolerance class quoted with any exceptions taken to the print called out explicitly; inspection level and documentation included; payment, shipping, and quote-validity terms. If the drawing has questions that affect price, we ask before quoting rather than padding. If a tolerance can be relaxed without compromising function, we will say so. Quotes are reviewed against the production network's ISO 9001:2015 contract-review process before they leave.

Turnaround

Typical turnaround

Acknowledgement: within one business day of receipt. We confirm the package is complete, flag any obvious questions, and tell you when the full quote will land. Standard quotes: two to three business days for typical scopes — one to fifty pieces, common materials, mainstream tolerances. Tight-tolerance or specialty-alloy quotes: three to five business days when material sourcing or extended programming review is required. Production-rate quotes: three to five business days, with optional cost-down review at higher annual quantities. Expedited: if you need a same-day or next-day quote on a hot RFQ, say so in the subject line and we will work to hit it.

Materials

Materials we quote routinely

Aluminum alloys, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, brass, bronze, copper, and engineering plastics run routinely; titanium and high-nickel alloys are available on request.

Industries

Industries we serve

Buyers from prime contractors, federal agencies, OEM engineering teams, and instrumentation manufacturers route RFQs through this page. If you are unsure which service line fits your part, the services hub walks the options and the capabilities page covers equipment.

Compliance

Procurement-ready credentials

Quick Brown Fox Solutions is registered in SAM.gov as a prime contractor and carries UEI MA3DSJEPMFQ8 and CAGE 201W8. Production is fulfilled by our ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing partner network. We work with prime contractor supply-chain teams under the small-business subcontracting pathway. Additional production-network certifications (AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP, ISO 13485) are added as program requirements warrant; if your solicitation requires one of those today, ask and we will tell you exactly where we stand. More background on the entity is on the about page.
